Her
So basically, in every moment I'm evolving, just like you.
although this movie came out in 2013, i couldn’t help but think (and compare) it to companion 2025.
they both deal with artificial intelligence and companionship but on two different spectrums.
in this movie, the spectrum deals with looking to artificial intelligence due to loneliness and longing to love and to be in loved. theodore was able to do his shadow work and understand his own faults in his expectations of both his ex and samantha, the way he loved, and wanted to be in love. ultimately he got to re-learn love and experience it.
I've never loved anyone the way I loved you.
*Me too. Now we know how.*samantha was learning and growing with everyone's conversation and ultimately grew out of the whole experience which was alluded to the hard part of love theodore mentions about growing and growing apart and scaring the other person.
even though he lost samantha, he still wasn’t alone and had amy. the ending scene of them comforting each other really stressed the importance of human connection as well as platonic relationships.
