The Master
The Master works on different levels. Either we can perceive this as a regular film with powerhouse performances from both Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman or we can indulge ourselves in the movie as we unfold different layers to every scene. Once we get to know these layers, it doesn’t stop there, we go deeper and deeper until the movie ends. And even after the movie ends, it pulls us right back in and sends us to the depth. This is the kind of cinema that opens us to several intriguing thoughts that linger around us for a few days.
Hands down PTA is the best filmmaker of our generation.
