Jesus christ if your not gonna play PASS THE CONTROLLER!! What a debut feature film for a director. This movie is truly one of few to have made me feel very tense and anxious, there were countless moments (especially the bedroom scene) that made me tense up. The star of the show is definitely Inde Navaraette, her performance is going to go down as one of the best ever seen in a horror film and I beljeve we have a new "Scream Queen" on our radar. I think the director, Curry Baker did a phenomenal job at creating the tension and knowing when to release it, it keeps the audience guessing when the next scare is but also you leave no room for breathing.

Such a powerful film, it exceeds the original and even raises the bar when it comes to filmmaking and pushing what is possible. This was my second time watching this and my first time watching it in Imax, I had originally watched it in 4dx. The script this movie had was really special, I think its a lesson for filmmakers should use to study when creating a movie as well as when creating a sequel to a beloved classic. Off topic but I was surprised with a very short sneak peak of Cruise's next film Digger and was left shocked, I got to be one of the first in the world to watch a sneak peak at the Trauler and boy does it look good.

Where do I start? I liked the film but I dont think it will be one of those that will stick with me and impact me in a big way. I dont see it having an effect on my film making ideas and I dont see it having a subconscious effect on my thought process when writing new ideas. But that's okay, not every film needs to have some sort of major impact on my mind, there were some genuinely unnerving scenes that will stick with me like the crying baby on the beach and the man who pops like a balloon, those definitely will be something I remember. I think my biggest critique is that the film to me loses its pace and slows down and goes to a different direction in the 2nd half of the film, (when Adam Pearson character is released) the story shifts from a more traditional plot to a more self centered and emotional plot about the alien discovering emotions and feelings which I can see why they went down that route.

I don't know why I waited so long to watch this movie, its definitely one of Nolan's best films and its such a "me" type of film. At its core, rhe film to me is a dark tragedy of Leonard chosing to write his own reality of events that happened regarding his wife that he willingly writes down a lie that sees him killing an undercover cop just so he can continue chasing down his wife's killer not knowing that he accidentally killed his wife. At least that's my interpretation of this film.
