Yi Yi

《一一》uses the story of a middle-class family in Taipei to show different stages of life and human struggles. Each character faces their own problems in marriage, growing up, and finding themselves, but there are no clear answers.  One of the most memorable parts of the film is 洋洋’s idea of taking photos of people’s backs, which shows that our view of the world is limited. Everyone is a philosopher in their own way, a philosopher of life.  In the end, the film does not give answers, but helps us notice what we usually forget in daily life.
