Dudeism is the answer to hustle culture Jeff Bridges is just ridiculously likeable in this, and John Goodman is an absolute menace in the best way 😭. The dialogue is so random but somehow it works. I did feel it dragged a bit in the middle and the story kinda loses itself sometimes, but I get why people love it so much. Feels like one of those movies that’s probably even better the second time around.

I really wanted to like this more. The whole conspiracy and first contact setup had me hooked, but it spends so much time building towards the reveal that the ending just felt underwhelming. The “get the truth on live TV” idea never fully clicked for me either, especially when everything else in the film is so modern. Emily Blunt was easily the standout though, she carried the emotional weight of the entire movie. Just felt like another disappointing Sci Fi

Fuck it I have too many thoughts so imma just list it - score was awesome really digged some of the chase sequences as always Ludwig cooked - Martin Scorsese played WHO - there was genuinely no stakes so this felt like two filler episodes of the Mandalorian cramped into a movie - constant shuffling of the aspects ratio just didn’t get the thematic reason for this? - cinematography just felt so dry there were one or 2 frames which were sick bar that meh - genuinely felt like a tv movie - that one 20 min scene of grogu was surprisingly really cute and fun
