First of all, my twin forced me to watch this movie. I felt like someone was holding a gun to my head. And she said to me, "If you still want me to be with you, give this movie a 5 star." I actually thought I would like it, my expectations were met.  What makes the story so moving is the contrast between the dazzling stage presence and the vulnerable person behind it. The music, the performances, and the nostalgia are powerful, but the emotional core lies in showing how fame can bring both admiration and isolation. The film reminds us that even those who seem larger than life are still human.
