deeply disturbed fs but his weird laugh still made me crack up at the end  i’ll be thinking about this film for the next month. it’ll become my new roman empire and even after years pass (15 years give or take) it will still occasionally pop up in my head. i wish i could be like dae su and hire a hypnotist to make me forget about that last 20 minutes. it wasn’t the “secret” that gave me the heebiejeebies, it was daesu wanting to forget why he shouldn’t … do that??!?!! like just … don’t??? seriously, the best film i’ve seen up to date. felt every emotion that daesu felt from his lackadaisical drunken stupor lifestyle to his desperation to his confusion to his reckless rage and then back to his desperation and finally to defeat. ended the movie with severe jaw pain because i’d been clenching my teeth the entire time without realizing it.
