Red River
Great movie, great music production, and the movie moved at a good pace and was engaging. The film did a great job showing the hardships and difficulties of cattle driving. The character development of Dunson who was so into his cattle empire that he did it at the expense of his men, his best friend and his own character. The film did an excellent job showing that. And ironically it was Mike who treated his men well and gave them what they wanted that ended up making the cattle drive. So many powerful moments such as Dunson adding the “M” to the brand as Mike earned it or the scene of Mike just standing there and Dawson not having the courage to kill him as even when he said he wanted to kill him, deep down he still loved him. My only issue with the film is how late Tess Millay was brought into the film and there were a few scenes in the film that I don’t think were needed. But overall a fantastic movie.
