Jurassic Park
- after watching this movie so many times, it still never fails to amaze me, especially when it comes to me sobbing every time i watch the brachiosaurus scene and hear the theme song play. it contains some of best, humorous and also partially creepy scenes.
- the t-rex breakout always stays in my mind both before and after the rewatch. the camera work is so clever, as well as the acting and stunts involved. during this scene, the part with Donald on the toilet never fails to make me giggle for some reason.
it would be unfair not to mention one of the most iconic scenes in the entire franchise, which is the kitchen scene. once again, the camera work is just phenomenal as well as the acting. the stunting with the dinosaurs is just so incredible to watch and every time i watch it there’s such heightened tension the entire time.
a final mention of a specific scene, the scene after the control the panel with the raptor, Ellie and ( the lack of) Arnold, is always so creepy to me.
- every time i rewatch this, i always consider the actual antagonist of the movie, and how Hammond is the clearer one, compared to Dennis Nedry. while Dennis is the obvious villain, in my opinion, the fact he gets annihilated by the dilophosaurus half way through, it doesn’t feel right to give him that title. John Hammond however, is the reason for all the events that occur, with his unhealthy fascination with the dinosaurs, knowing that by creating something that is obviously not going to work out, he is only obsessed with the profit that is made. the greed of Hammond, comes from the outcome of the park, with the constant problems and his lack of responsibility and decisions that were risky and ultimately not going to work.
- **for me, the final scene of the movie shows the corruption of humans on nature and animals and the negative impact that people as a whole have created. humans have attempted to take over something that lived long before us and through the falling banner of **‘when dinosaurs rules the earth’ shows that nature and animals always win and the consequences that humans will face trying to interfere with it.
- final comment: i love Alan and Ellie so much!
