Death Note

Started: 7/12/26 Finished: 7/15/26 Binged this in three days and now I fully understand why people have been recommending it for years. It's one of those shows that grabs you with a wild premise and somehow just keeps escalating. Every episode ended with me thinking, "Okay, just one more," until suddenly it was 2 am. The mind games between Light and L are easily the highlight, half the fun is watching two geniuses try to outthink each other while everyone else is caught in the blast radius. Even when the pacing stumbles a little later on it's still ridiculously compelling. Not perfect, but when it's firing on all cylinders it's impossible to look away. Stylish, tense, and way smarter than I expected.
