This film is like Mean Girls meets American Mary, Audition, May, and The Substance.
It shows how cruel people can be when someone doesn't meet their standards. Wei wasn't the monster; she was pushed until she became what they feared. The film makes you think about how society forces people to change just to fit in, and even then, it's never enough. The real horror isn't the body transformation, but how far someone would go just to belong.
That Doctor deserved what happened to him. He took advantage of people's insecurities, thinking he could play God. In the end, he was just a victim of his own creation.
Wei wasn't the problem. The real horror was how the world treated her. The movie shows how society pressures people to change, making them feel like they're not enough unless they do.
