Together
This masterpiece is straight up deranged.. and I mean that as the highest compliment. It doesn't even try to play it safe, it just throws itself into being strange and uncomfortably funny without a hint of shame. One moment it's going left, the next it's running in a completely different direction, and I'm sitting there half-laughing because it somehow lands every time. It's chaotic and gross, but it was never dull.
Alison Brie and Dave Franco were completely unhinged in the best way. They were just riding the insanity while the world collapsed around them and it felt so natural. Their dynamic held the whole thing together. One minute they're at each other's throats, the next they're basically rotting side by side and I'm like yep, that's love, I guess? It's messy as fuck, it's committed, it's disgusting in a way that's kind of beautiful. I could say this is one of those films you finish and instantly need someone else to experience just so you don't feel insane alone.
