Guys I know it’s supposed to imply that Jeff Bridges possesses the titular *True Grit. * However, I think after really analysing the film it becomes apparent that Hailee Steinfeld had the truest of grits all along. Matt Damon was also in this episode.

Had to double check that this is still hands down the funniest film ever made. It is. It also has such a fun detective solving weird murders in small town with weird cult stuff going on vibe to it. Plus it has Simon Pegg, Olivia Coleman and Timothy Dalton it really is just the best British film of all time.  Usually I could pick a fav line or funniest moment from a film but you literally cannot do it with Hot Fuzz. If I had to narrow it down to a letterboxd top 4 format it would be: 1. “Pack it in Frank ya silly bastard!” 2. “It’s alright Andy, it’s just bolognese” 3. “Speaking to them is an uphill battle” … 🗑️ “fuck off!” 4. The farmer screaming “Mum!” when Angel returns  HM: “Stay back or the ginger nut gets it” I also LOVE Dire Straits and I LOVE the song Romeo and Juliet and it used so perfectly and subtly in this.  (I always get sad when I see Lurch’s mugshot towards the end)
