Great but held back by the fact that it is basically uncut gems again

More than anything this movie is dated. The last Gasp of the GWOT movies from back when people thought Middle East intervention had a point and fixated on an issue no one cares about anymore. It doesn’t even have anything interesting to say about Benghazi, which it portrays fairly apolitically minus a few references to Air Support and that YouTube video about the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. All you can say for this movie is that it reveals the core of these GWOT era movies, which more talented directors obfuscate behind capable writing and good camera work: zombie-like hordes of Arabs (except for the one good effeminate one of course), next to no sympathy for the people being invaded, and heroic Whites waging a war for freedom. All I felt after watching this was hate. Hate for the morons that gave a shit about Benghazi; hate for the Obama administration for destroying Libya; hate for the greedy war criminals who enabled the rise of PMCs.
