man this took me by surprise.
really captures the anxieties of being that age and that out of your element so so well. not to mention heartwarming, tragic, and sort of melancholic in a strange way.
think the casting of this was absolutely bang on, and jonah hill's script was absolutely mega.
paced magnificently. gets in, does its thing, gets out again. a very rare thing these days to get a film that does so much in less than 90.
pretty stellar debut from jonah hill.
