Black immediately dropping the persona and turning back into Chiron once he gets that phone call from Kevin is maybe the realest moment I’ve ever seen in a movie

I’m so conflicted on this movie. It has things I love, like when Gabby Gabby finally found her kid or Duke Caboom in general. It has things I despise, like turning Buzz Lightyear into a complete moron or the choice to sideline basically the entire original gang. This might just be Pixar’s most divisive film, especially when you consider many think the franchise should’ve ended after Toy Story 3.

I had a stuffed Bolt toy (like Disney’s Bolt) when I was a kid and lost him when I was maybe 8-9ish, eventually replacing him with another Bolt toy exactly like him. I sometimes wonder if he found out he was replaced and turned into a megalomaniac too.

After marathoning all the Toy Story movies, I came to realize Jessie might just be my favorite character in this franchise. Well, this movie solidified that for me.  I don’t think I’ll ever be able to watch the scene where Jessie finds out Emily named her daughter after her without tears flowing down my face.
