Rodrigues’s contemplation of how he views himself, a god or a missionary is unbelievable. Completely contradicting to his counterpart Garupe, who is follows a traditional path and takes what he views as God’s word literally. But in the end who was the better Christian, both or neither.  Is apostasy worth the lives of the innocent. Do they follow Christ or you.  Also a perfect ending as well as a movie so beautiful every frame could be a painting.   *“Nothing grows in a swamp” *
