My Lane

Taking a vow of not driving my VW unless Toni Collette is sitting in the passenger seat—will also settle for Twink Dano.

I love disgusting, grotesque movies; this was just plain icky (borderline detestable?). The portrayal of women speaks for itself. The scenes that did not elicit such feelings were painfully dull. I did not care for a single one of the characters. I wasted 164 minutes of contorting my face from a grimace to a blank stare. The “cinematography” wasn’t even as remarkable as it was made out to be. I was originally watching solely because of the cyberpunk aspect, which should have been my sign to not bother watching something with so little substance. Watch any other cyberpunk movie. Hell, I would’ve rather watched a video game playthrough. After my disappointment realizing I was halfway through and would not likely have a change of heart, I was just watching to get it over with. I have nothing intelligent to say—as there’s not even much intelligence put into the film to extract from—just complaints. Jared Leto not helping either.
