Ikiru
“I can’t afford to hate, I don’t have the time”
The message within this is so strong.
This may not be the most entertaining film but wow is it one of the most meaningful I have ever seen.
The idea that we need to live life as life isn’t forever is so powerful.
So many quotes you can carry in your life.
I love ikiru and everything it stands for with the meaning behind it all.
This will fore sure stick with me more than most films.
During the watch I didn’t like the switch to the second part originally as I was so invested within the first part.
However I felt afterwards it paid off as it shows his impact to others after his death and how he did do something meaningful and fulfilling.
The overall message to take from this film for me would be what does it mean to live? To work ? To survive? Or is the best way to live to leave your mark on the world and do something you feel makes your life meaningful.
This is what i believe film should be about, sending important life messages through story’s that can touch your heart and make you change in your life.
Truly amazing film which will stick with me forever.
