if I had cousins like this I’d acc never complain again rip

idk why I couldn’t get thru this the first time I tried to watch it.. I couldn’t really understand where the story was going and i j really had no patience for following the flow. this time I tried to watch it again and like I acc don’t know what was wrong w me the first time the characters in this movie are written so beautifully and the way the director builds this sense of home, community, and belonging is…

i didn’t rly grow up with an understanding of compassion, whether it was for myself or others; it was smtg I had to learn for myself and for me Kiarostami’s works played a pivotal part in that. The attempt in understanding what people go through, and to display that attempt through such simple words and actions is such a brilliant show of compassion. This movie really changed my life and I am thankful everyday I have seen this movie when I did; I strongly believe that kiarostami is one of the few directors who understands how to connect with a human’s heart and he does it so effectively. I have consumed a lot of media in my life, but I don’t think any have moved me as much as this did. 100/10 type
