Wojaczek
After watching Wojaczek, you know even less about Wojaczek than you did before seeing it.
It is not a biographical film, but rather an autopsy of his work, his thoughts and a journey into the depths of his mind. Thanks to this film, we can see the world through the eyes of an outstanding, outcast poet who would enter a bar drunk and leave even more so, and who would leave his flats through the window.
Wojaczek was not a poet like others who call themselves by that name. His life was poetry, to which he devoted himself entirely. He was a Poet. A Poet who created Wojaczek, and not the other way round.
PS. The title itself gives us a clue as to what the film is about — WOjaCZEK. Emphasises ja (in polish I/me), because it is a film about Him, but not about dry facts regarding his life, but about HIM – his inner self.
