Cannibal Holocaust
I actually met Deodato some years ago at an convention, to this day it's one of my biggest regrets not talking to the man more than I did and if i ever get the chance i definitely want to ask him about things, i don't know what exactly, stuff that he has been asked thousands of times before, stuff that some dumbfuck thought was really clever and wouldn't be a thing he had answered a thousand times before.
This is by no means a perfect movie, nor is it a movie you watch for enjoyment, satisfaction or any positive feeling afterwards.
It is a brutal movie, because it wants to be and also because it has to be. A nihilistic as fuck look at a world that is still just as "savage" today as it was back then.
This is the messaging dipshits like Eli Roth try to replicate, it is all here and I do believe that it is important and a necessary piece of history.
