This made me ache.
Although not being Latin American, I felt so directly transported to my friend’s home in Guadalajara. The similarities in the house structure, the stairs, the sounds, the closeness of the family (inclusive of Cleo) and even Borras. It made me crave a nostalgia and comfort that’s doesn’t belong to me, yet I felt welcomed and embraced into the experience.
