Materialists

I had to take this darling out of my top 4 due to some recent revelations, however, i still have nothing but good stuff to say about this film.  ive been a materialist my entire life, and my entire life i have been criticized and shamed for it, but i see it all differently. I see it as, i know what i want for myself. I know what i want my partner to be able to provide for me and i know what i want to be able to provide for myself.  now do i think that Lucy should have stayed with Henry? probably yes. Have I ever been in a situation like this? no. Lucy, someone who definitely knows what she wants, chose John. I trust that she knows what is going to make her happy.  she’s a materialist, and that’s okay.
