Blade Runner

Ridley in the late 70s and early 80s just went: "I just revolutionised Sci Fi forever. I just did it again! Now my secret plan of being seen seen as a legendary director just so I can make mediocre at best films that I don't even care about for the rest of my life! Waheyy" This film is such an absolute VIBE though, the film noir sytnthy score is just so good it makes me feel so many things. I just love cyberpunky things and while this doesn't even delve that deep into cyberpunky things it still just kind of invented this aesthetic love love love. I also really wasn't expecting the ending to be so emotional, that tears in the rain scene is just absolute insanity and WHO could've guessed that a DUTCH actor of all people would give such a fantastic performance. He might actually be the only good actor in Dutch history. I will say that "romance" scene was rape-y as hell and idk who in their right mind thought that having the scene at all was a good idea, let alone thought that it was ROMANTIC?? No. Absolutely no no no.
