Superman

If you’re not smiling, you’re missing the point. The Lois/Clark argument scene is a particular highlight of the film. All of the performances are very good, in particular Hoult. The visuals are capital S STUNNING, I am beyond impressed with some of the CGI. Character design is incredible (especially the Engineer and Mr. Terrific). My biggest holdback is I think the antimatter-river fight scene goes on too long/is not particularly creative or engaging. I just never felt like that baby was in any danger. There are certainly plot holes in a if-Superman-had-this-power-why-didnt-he-do-this vein, but that’s the price you pay for high powered characters and not having an overly convoluted plot. Personally, I thought it was a good choice.  Loved it over all, like I said, made me smile.
