Blackkklansman is undoubtedly one of the most essential films of our time. It’s poignant and powerful in its sentiment, masterfully written and directed, pristinely acted, with beautiful and deliberate coloring, costumes, and music. John David Washington is genuinely incredible. His smoothness under pressure is thrilling to watch, and Adam Driver showed Hollywood that he’s a dynamic force in cinema. This is the film that made Adam Driver one of my favorite actors working today. My 2nd favorite Spike Lee film is unnerving, suspenseful, and constantly intense. Blackkklansman is as relevant today as it was when it came out. 5/5.
