Still peak. Through the silliness and gore and very uncomfortable moments, this film really does have a strong emotional backbone. It's really about a guy who longed for any human connection and a girl who longed for a lifeline discovering that their relationship wasn't healthy, and that what they both need in order to find the good lives they're looking for is to move on from each other. I find the flashback scenes with Sarah and the ending with all of Frank's drawings actually really beautiful and heartbreaking. I love this movie. James Gunn is my hero.
