One of those films everybody should watch, even if it's tough. I didn't leave this film simply thinking "I need to offer more help to people like Mike around me and everything will be great", because he could put me in danger. Neither did I leave thinking "I shouldn't help Mike ever cause it won't do anything" because how could I not see that giving some change would not affect me whatsoever and make a massive difference in the day of Mike. I was left feeling distraught of the system. It's a film that makes you realise we should always try to aim for a society that always looks out for the outcasts and doesn't allow people become desperate. And I find this film does a very literal job on spelling how to tackle homelessness. Social housing for everyone, public mental health service, a good and effective long term system that focuses on rehabilitation, investment in strengthening in local communities.
