Chungking Express
There is something so beautiful about love stories that don’t have the classic happy ending. Both of the stories in this movie portray how you can find love and happiness in the most unexpected places. Even if it doesn’t turn into anything big, it’s still real.
It also shares similarities to Past Lives, specifically the part that moved me so much. Which is kind of along the lines of “right person, wrong time,” but more so just seeing the beauty in something that didn’t work out, and just appreciating it for what it was.
Soundtrack was phenomenal as well. Obviously.
