in short: do NOT go to a night showing of this shit alone i had to call my friend while walking back to my car in long: this fucked me up baddddd omg. i first found out about this movie after seeing its very intriguing first trailer and ive been keeping up with it ever since - i really thought i knew how itd end up but BOY was i wrong. nikki is such a multifaceted character in every sense of the word and inde navarrette was CRRRRRAAAAZZZZYYYY in her portrayal of her omf shes gonna blow up im CALLING IT. shes so expressive and her line delivery in some of nikkis more "manic" moments irked me so bad. also. sound design! terrifying. i had to look away at a few moments due to the sound design alone like genuinely it was so perfect and so fucked. i will probably think of more things i enjoyed about this later but for now - i hope this movie and its reception serves as a reminder to major studios that the people fuck with originality!!!!! trust young filmmakers!!!!!! fund new ideas!!!!!!!!!!!
