I wish I never watched this movie

can't believe this movie ALSO had the challengers wind that makes you cheat on your partner

(types a 3 page paragraph contrasting Eggers' humanizing approach to the Ellen in Nosferatu vs the-dead-wife-montage- trope, woman-as-a-plot-device approach to Mina in Besson's Dracula and how one movie was the revamp [heh] we needed and other one didn't add anything that Coppola's version already did about a thousand times more effectively; and how knowing about the allegations against Besson casts a sinister shadow over the choice to adapt a story about a vampire which is a known metaphor for rape/sexual assault) (sighs and deletes) If I didn't think too hard about it, it wasn't a bad movie. Unfortunately, I have a brain and big feelings about vampires/Dracula. I chuckled a few times, rolled my eyes a few times more, felt sleepy midway through, felt a little more than mildly angry at the ending, and then laughed out loud when those bald headed fuckin mad max fury road war boys came stumbling out of the castle in the final scenes.
