*“well the truth is uh.. if you’ve got a best friend, you won’t even notice getting older.”* just truly magical. i’m so inspired. I love my friends and i love this movie. One of my favorite theatergoing experiences i’ve ever had.

*“And why do we fall, Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.”* watched this and maybe the whole trilogy, i don’t really remember, when i was really young and i like forgot everything so i’m gonna rewatch all of it in these next few days. Felt inspired to since i’ve been reading a loooot of comics lately, i mean i already read a lot of comics but i’ve been reading a ton in these past few weeks specifically. the score is obviously great, it looks cool sometimes, i think it’s an overall very good depiction of Batman and Bruce Wayne… but i don’t know i’m running into that problem I have with Nolan where i just find a lot of it to be kinda dull. also the batsuit in this is like really not good at all.

*"That era has passed. Nothing that belonged to it exists anymore.”* * * no other film will ever capture the overwhelming ache of longing and the feeling of looking back on what could have been like this one does.

…thanks for the recommendation mom…. this was probably the most viscerally uncomfortable I’ve ever felt while watching a movie, and it wasn’t due to anything actually taking place on screen, but rather what’s implied and what’s said. I did laugh a lot too though so… Criterion’s 4k restoration is really excellent, one of the best i’ve seen.
