Lynch is legend at this man… he makes the silence louder than the dialouge; the visuals, the mist, the sound design, and the bizarre performances create an unsettling atmosphere from beginning to end— the scenes are covered with a surreal haze leaving the nightmarish atmosphere ppl talk about and you cant look away trying to analyze this film is a losing game. like there isn’t interest in a plot you can grab onto, he’s interested in the unease that builds when you stop trying. the more you chase meaning, the more it slips, and that ends up being the experience of watching this movie.
