TÁR
goddamn, this was brilliant. pacing, camera, sound design, acting. Cate Blanchett delivered one of the most memorable performances in a film for me. cold, composed, suave, but slowly cracking under circumstances. loved how subtle her depiction of a predatory sociopath was. not a single interaction with her colleagues and friends was seemingly coming from a place of power, cleverly disguised manipulation, i almost wondered, if she took the more difficult situation like rotating out Sebastian, like her little acting challenge, up to a point that i wondered whether Lydia Tár received the egots for acting.
although partially a film about cancel culture, looking at it as mainly a film about cancel culture doesn not work.
also who the fuck would think the end of the film is a dream sequence.
