Homebound
The silence after the credits roll, everyone crying, and just embracing the magic they just experienced on the big screen.
This film captures the journey of two friends fighting the system, society, making their way, fighting, and laughing together. A film that forces you to just sit and think about it after the credits in a theatre in Indian cinema was something that was not on my list for 2025.
The square ratio encapsulates the friendship, life in the village, the hurdles, the identity, and still finding a breath of fresh air through the beautiful colors and composition of shots.
I knew this movie would make me cry, but when the moment arrived, it was just so well-acted that all the emotions just burst out.
Yet again very low number of shows and moreover the low audience count, but I was glad to experience it in a packed theatre.
