Barbie

I was watching this movie with some buddies in a theater. I ate my popcorn and drank my water. Then my stomach started hurting a lot from the popcorn because I hadn’t eaten much that day. This is all to say, the movie could have been much better. There were great laughs for sure but they were inconsistent. The musical numbers were fun, but the original music was not up to par. I think the angsty teen - loving mother relationship should have been developed more than it was. Without the Barbie IP and big names I just wonder what’s left. Michael Cera is hilarious as always.
