This movie proves everything wrong, that plots and movies can be timeless. no this movie isnt about love, crime, or the case itself, its about the complexity of man, their nature and how they think. take note that these men didnt meet before the meeting, nor know eachothers names, but somehow some part of the case attached them to the case; some didnt care at all at first, but they soon will. At the start of the case, no one listened to no.8, because he had no power at all, until someone did give him the benefit of the doubt. Power. power is where you think it lies. it took 30 minutes in the movie to convince one single man in that table to give him support, and when someone did, he kept speaking. the more he spoke the more other jurors listened, and when they got mad, feelings often get ahead of them so they slip, making themselves realize that theyve twisted their tongue; and so they questioned their own claim: “was he really innocent?” “am i wrong?” it took faster and faster to persuade as many join his side, because of power. noone ever wants to join the losing side. Himself. the two very opinionated men who voted last. who took the boy as their channel for hatred for the mistakes and the beliefs they themselves made. “you are your biggest enemy” they couldnt vote because they thought they were right, they held onto it because of grudges far long before the case, thats why i love this movie, theyre all grown white men, but you could feel the complex character in each one, they all had their own lives, opinions, beliefs, backgrounds, all in one table, and one man trying to persuade them.

i thought it was pretty bad that ally was really just suffering all throughout the movie, you couldnt blame jack he really loved ally and didnt stop any oppurtunity from coming to her but she was just so unfortunate all throughout

“is he smart?” this movie made me so sad and infuriated me at the same time. imagine being that dumb that you cant even appreciate your own achievements, he doesnt even know how he affects people and his environment and that his presence just makes a huge impact everytime. before going in, i would like to appreciate the plot and directing. starting off the movie with “a man wears many shoes” was very clever. even though this movie was completely not a comedy movie, forrest gump has humorous take in altering america’s political and culture scene. i love how honest and kind this parallel universe the movie takes place in, it just puts forrest gump in a place he can thrive. there were so many ways people could have stopped his shine or completely stomped him over but they completely respected him because he always keeps to his word. When Bubba died, i thought he would he would be dumb enough to forget about him and shrimping after he became a ping pong champion, but no, he kept to his word and thats why people respect forrest gump. I hate how jenny used her throughout the movie as an option. everytime they would cross paths she would be so ecstatic to meet him again but so swift to leave him. who does she think she is? she only settled because she got pregnant with him and if she didnt, we wouldve seen a very different ending. what i hate most is that the entire movie revolves around what jenny said, making it impossible not to like jenny. “run, forrest, run” that quote ran the movie and maybe that was the problem, forrest didnt really appreciate the life he had, he ran through it all while people watched. this is the best movie about a war hero pro ping pong gazzilionaire.
