I’m just trying to figure out this app. I don’t like that everyone is grown up. I hate time. Time is a killer!. We’ve missed so much 😔.

This is nowhere near as bad as the Rotten Tomatoes score makes it out to be. 6% on RT come on!. Borderlands, Section 31, and Halloween Resurrection are easily the worst movies Jamie Lee Curtis has been in.

“Tiny Tim WHO DID NOT DIE”. 10/10 delivery. I have a new found appreciation for “The Muppet Christmas Carol”, after sitting through many adaptations of the story (No, I haven’t read the book but I am willing to take The Great Gonzo’s advice and read it). Michael Caine is outstanding as Scrooge. His transition from cold and stern to happy and joyful was expertly done. Even if he’s not a good singer, his enthusiasm for the part is infectious. The one scene that really got me, is actually a former deleted scene that’s recently been re-added. When he goes and joins Clara in their duet “Love is Gone” but he doesn’t finish the song with her and breaks down. That’s heartbreaking. It is a beautiful looking movie despite being filmed mostly in studio. It feels fantastical, almost like a pop up book coming to life mixed with a slice of theatre. Some of the effects do hold up, especially everything with The Muppets, It’s strange to believe they aren’t real, because they interact seemlessly with the human actors. The movie has been beautifully restored, I always praise Disney’s restoration team, but there’s some shots, usually the VFX optical stuff that looks like a VHS recording, it was really jarring. Honestly my least favourite part of the movie was Rizzo. He got so irritating, and kept distracting from the story going on. It’s mostly during the Christmas Past segments, he goes away during The Christmas Yet To Come segment.

i saw this when i was 4. i’m still horrified. I know some versions of A Christmas Carol are scary but this one takes the cake. The animation is horrifying. Why did they need to animate it like that?. This takes places in the 1800’s not on Mars. Yeah, I don’t like the animation. I don’t like the direction as well, all these whizzing shots throughout the place, all the show offy one shots, it feels like a video game. The Christmas Yet To Come Segment feels like a video game level where you have to run away from a ghostly evil carriage as a shrunken Scrooge. Coming off the Muppet version (also by Disney). I was let down by this, I failed to connect with it. They also changed “Tiny Tim WHO DID NOT DIE” to “Tiny Tim, WHO GOT WELL”. You had one job! You know what. It’s a different approach, it stands out. It’s just a version of this story I don’t like the filmic approach to. That’s all I have to say really.
