Holy fuck. So heartwarming.

One of my favourite moments in all of Cassavetes' career is at the end of Opening Night when Dorothy and Myrtke embrace at the end and Dorothy sings Myrtle's praises. If there's one thing Cassavetes got was connection between people. It's what drives us to be and it what is a mostly harrowing watch that glimmer of hope rings long after the credits roll. Myrtle won in the end.

"I can't give you anything but love"

Come along way since I watched this for the first time back in March of last year. Crazy to rewatch it and have a total near different experience. This is going to sound cheesy but thank you John Cassavetes for changing my life 🙏.
