Adolescence
Adolescence takes on social media and masculinity in a way that really needs to be talked about more often. With how many young children have such an easy access to the internet and social media, when there are a number of prominent figures on the internet who push a dangerous agenda about masculinity and what's its really like to be a man is scary. And unfortunately it's the truth because there are a number of young boys who listen to all those people, because as a young kid you can be so easily influenced by what you see on the internet. Im glad that this show went as far as to call out Andrew Tate, one of the most famous people pushing these vile and scary views. I think episode 3 of Adolescence shows us what Jamie actually thinks of women. The way he speaks to Briony is appalling. And even some of the things he says in this episode, for example, when he says he's better than other boys because he didn't SA Katie because the other boys would have. That is just a crazy way to think in that situation. Im glad that this show was made though, Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham did an amazing job writing this story, and it is definitely a show that young men should watch and if they do watch that stuff, then learn from something like this.
