Back to the Future

watched this with a friend, and I have to say - what an enjoyable film. this is one of those rare films which you simply cannot hate, and its weird and wacky nature (at times very weird and very wacky) only adds to its charm. The film is paced so well, and the direction keeps pushing us to towards the concept of time, whilst the script uses irony incredibly well. the plot is so simple, yet I have no doubt that this film was absolutely enormous when it came out, which is why it’s such a staple of pop culture even today. the characters are all so loveable, and the ending is so satisfying and cathartic, before it suddenly throws us into the second movie. the star of the show though is Marty McFly, who is so cool that he went back 30 years and was immediately the coolest guy around. who doesn’t want to be as cool as Marty McFly? I wanna be as cool as Marty McFly
