Close-Up

God the layers to the film are incredible. First of all, they don’t make things that look like this anymore. The colors, saturation, and film grain; to die for. If you have any interest in film photography, at all, the entire film just oozes natural film color grading beautifully.  The fact that the real people involved are playing themselves and doing an impeccable job is even more impressive.  The deliberate use of sound cutting to maintain the intimacy of their conversation is pure class.  I could go on and on, but it’s just beautiful through and through.
