The Jinx
Legitimate, credible people being interviewed is a must for true crime I actually enjoy. The off the rails characters from series like The Tiger King are exhausting. They detract from what I enjoy which is the analysis of the justice system and legal strategy of both sides, which I feel this series did well. The end solidified this approach and showed how Jarecki had to have his own strategy to capture this rich bum.
Not overly dramatized with cutscenes, and it is clear Durst actually trusted him. The first hot mic was a great example. Until the second one, where it revealed what we thought all along. Durst is your typical self-righteous scumbag who’s competence is failing him; the quintessential old, rich-guy that has and always will, pay his way to safety.
