Nosferatu
i have so much to say and i'm not sure how to say it. you need to go see this movie. you need to go see this movie. robert eggers' style is just unmatched for me in creating an atmosphere that just sucks you in. as a member of the audience, i felt so immersed that i didn't even feel like there was acting in most of the movie. every performance is great, and LRD pulling out all the stops was such a pleasant surprise. this, for me, is easily one of the best movies of the year, if not the best movie of the year, even after sleeping on that thought. i think this could very well be regarded as one of the great remakes of all time. the themes explored such as trauma, guilt, and self-sacrifice really made me think. even into dinner last night after we had seen the movie, me and my girlfriend continued to talk about it, and she HATES horror. she said, "this changed my perspective on horror." that's all i'll say, but definitely watch this movie.
