Nope
damn, damn, damn, at first i didn't know what to think about this movie. it's definitely one you have to take a step back and just let it marinate. with that being said though, it was overall really great. jordan peele executed the messages of animal cruelty and exploitation in hollywood very well with nope. how gordy was a catalyst to jupe's obsession with this unknown object in the sky, leading to his own downfall. he was still clinging on to fame and he was trying to grasp at it in any way possible. i believe the monster itself is an embodiment of hollywood as an entirety as well. the thing is just so big, grand, and scary, but it will chew you up and spit you back out (or pieces of you). and in the beginning scenes where they take lucky to the set serves some good foreshadowing of that as well, how easily disposable people are in the industry.
