“WE NEED TO REMEMBER WHAT USED TO BE GOOD”; one of the most timeless movies that’s never going to age badly, for all the ages i have watched it at and all the ages i will continue to watch it at — “vienna” as a film and WHEN vienna plays, it is the most spiritual experience ever (for already the most poignantly transcendent song ever) most perfect soundtrack, most magical performance by jennifer garner, most hilarious strip tease to ice ice baby, AND MOST HARD FACTUAL TRUTH EVER, ie people do not want lame dj beats to party, we the people yearn for synced jamming to disco dance pop bangers # thriller, AND HE BUILT HER A DREAMHOUSE like i would die btw  if i could go back in time, id slap the shit out of 13 year old me like girl! do not grow up! it doesn’t get better than this! slow down!

“what a time to be alive if you love music” — hell fucking yes!! idk why i have been putting off watching this; they killed with the soundtrack 💥 will forever love fleetwood mac and media about the power of music, rock n roll, all its vintage messiness and stupid kids in a band just trying to make it and unapologetically iconoclastic women who i will defend with my life (when she said I AM NOT THE MUSE likeeeee); waiting for the one direction version of this pls someday lowk i am sooo warren, just vibing thriving and being hilarious and living in the glam diva moment and ultimately just collateral damage caught in the crossfire for no reason, i gotchu king stay strong i wish they did justice to the other characters and their stories and conflicts besides tortured mf billy; even daisy at times felt myopically centered around billy and their love triangle + i was really hoping they’d get down and dirty and embrace all the grittiness of the 70s it was inspired by because it tended to get a little lost with the aesthetic

fully aware that nothing about this is sound, sane, normal, or well-adjusted, BUT goddamn i will always come back to her because nora ephron has the power of making subtle simplicity so weighty; and i love cheesiness and all accidents we know and love as destiny. there is no chance such a movie — where the leads don’t meet at all throughout but are still magical — does anything today. every time i watch them go down that empire state elevator, i sit with bated breath stressed tf out over WHAT is going to happen to them and us all. PS: them crying about different movies at the round table is very real # represented; and walter was a real g and overall men like the ones in this movie exist only in nora’s universe
