A Separation
this is soooo real. not in a way where i’m like “that’s real” like the way we use it online or like in a way where i can directly relate to what i’m seeing. this is more in a way in which the actions and reactions in this film are portrayed in such a way that if i were in a situation like this or could see someone in real, true life in a situation like this, the decisions made in this film are how i could see it playing out. like nobody is completely morally wrong here. like what does that even mean because in REAL LIFE all of us are making these same decisions but like also none of us have gone through anything like this at all but yet it feels so real once again and we can be like oh yeah that made sense if it could be wrong but like is it REALLY? idk it’s just like insanely better than other things out there in terms of being real but what i’m saying doesn’t even amount to what this does. even though it’s like not even forcing it it’s just so wild. worded this crazy but you should get it. it’s just like it was perfectly executed. the best acting, which could only be possible with the best writing. too much to even dive into right now. excited to rewatch this, even if it’s tomorrow or a year from now. one of the greatest things ever. god.
