My Dinner with Andre
"If you're just operating by habit, then you're not really living."
My Dinner with Andre really works the same way a good conversation does. The more you lean into it, the more it gives back. you get out of it what you put in. On paper it’s just two guys talking for two hours, but I couldn’t look away once. The dialogue drifts between thoughtful and the deeply personal and I found it surprisingly moving. It leaves you with this quiet question are you living the life you actually want? but not in a way that pushes you to change or feel guilty. It’s more like it makes you pause for a moment and just think, to see your own life a little differently. I don’t agree with everything they say, but that’s kind of what makes it interesting. It’s not really about who’s right or wrong it’s just two people seeing the world in totally different ways, and you can’t help but think about your own while you’re watching. It might seem a bit pretentious, and honestly, maybe it is, but that’s okay. Conversations like this are important. They remind you that life isn’t just something to drift through it’s something to be awake to.
