The Lighthouse
"Bad luck to kill a sea bird."
Incredible. The Lighthouse drowns you in atmosphere, the sound design alone feels alive, every howl of wind and crash of waves pulling you deeper into its madness. The cinematography is stunning, trapping you in stark black and white frames that feel both beautiful and suffocating. The performances are so raw and powerful I couldn’t even see the actors anymore just two men slowly tearing each other and themselves apart. After this, Eggers is officially 2/2, and I’m excited for the next film of his that I watch.
